The delegation led by the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan being in France on a working visit took part in the closing ceremony of 2014 fund raising-Phoneathon of the French branch of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund on November 23. The Head of the RA NA Armenia-France Friendship Group Ara Babloyan, deputies Vahram Baghdasaryan, Karen Avagyan and Armen Rustamyan and the RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France Vigen Chitechian accompanied the RA NA President.

The Director of the French Branch of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund Petros Terzian presented the conditions of holding the Phoneathon in the Republic of France and the results of this year to the RA National Assembly President Galust Sahakyan, noting that despite the economic crisis in France, among the French Armenians growing interest year by year towards the Republic of Armenia and the Nagorno Karabakh is noticed. It has been noted that the French Armenians paid great attention to the programmes and initiatives concerning the Syrian Armenians.

The Head of France-Armenia Friendship Group of the Senate of the Republic of France Philippe Kaltenbach, the French deputies Patrick Devedjian, Jean Jermain and Jean-Yves Le Bouillionnec took part together with the RA NA Delegation in the event. The heads of the French Armenian organizations, representatives of the Armenian Apostolic Church and hundreds of French Armenians also took part in the closing ceremony of Phoneathon.

Within the framework of the working visit during the period of November 23-26 the delegation led by the RA NA President will have meetings with the President of the French Senate Gérard Larcher, the President of the National Assembly Claude Bartolone and the members of the France-Armenia Friendship Group of the Senate.
